Is his coaching not good or helping him get better? Not sure who his coaches are at Turkeyfoot.

No one knocked his coaches. It was said with the Rite coaching.

Yes and I believe he's heading to Scott.

So are you answering that he's not getting good coaching? If he's going to play ball next year for Scott, why is he playing at TF right now and not Woodland?

Sorry, that's the way I took it and when you post "rite" (I'm sure you meant "right") coaching, I just assumed you didn't think he was getting it at the moment. If he continues to progress, he'll be a good player no matter where he decides to go his freshman year.

. I'm close with a lot of the Turkeyfoot kids and believe friendship is why they went to TUrkeyfoot together. By the talk of the parents they are staying together and attending Scott together. Only time will tell.

I was in no way questioning coaching but was asking to clarify by him saying "rite coaching." I don't know their coaches to have an opinion. The Turkeyfoot team looks good to me from what I have seen.

I'm a Dixie guy for the most part. There have been quite a few kids who did very well for Turkeyfoot who decided to attend other schools their freshman year for some reason. Kind of hurts the program a little when your feeder school kids don't come to your high school.

Murray the head coach is a super caring coach and a great leader. I have seen that personally and I like the guy. He would fight for his kids and lead them in the correct directions in life. I don't no if he is a great coach or not. Even if he was the best coach in the world that doesn't always make you the rite (right) coach for a certain individual. What the statement is trying to say Leon has a ton of raw talent and skills. It wasn't in no way talking about his coaches. The statement meant if the correct person gets Leon he will be a terrific player in the future. I know Leon better than most. Leon needs a coach who makes him believe in himself then Leon will excel.

The problem is the Dixie coaches are not involved with the middle school. Make the kids feel part of the program. Cov cath, Highlands, Campbell co and Scott all do it. I'll bet that the varsity football and basketball coaches at Dixie don't know the 6th grade coaches. I bet they don't know the kids. That's the difference.

Well, I tend to agree with you there and that could be a contributor to why kids leave KC schools after their 8th grade year. Of course I have my own ideas that I'll save for another day.

#22 Turkeyfoot. Leon Marshall. With the rite coaching could be a terrific player.

Well....he could always move on down to Boyle County. :)

Why not. Kids fly around to different schools like free agents these days.

If a family thinks they can give their kids a better situation somewhere else and they do it legally....what difference does it make?

There are kids who do that it darn near every year.

Is it legal or are you saying there is cheating taking place?

Have you seen him lately??

You said that he would be better to lower his shoulders. He can lower his shoulders on anyone but chooses instead to run for over 2600 yards and 44 TD's. I believe that those types of stats are separating himself from the rest. Basketball results have little to do with football and his ability to play at the next level, which at this point is high school, not college. These are only 8th grade kids. He could, however start for any freshman team around and probably many of the JV squads as well.

Kyle Reminds me alot of Travis Elliot when he was that age. With some good work in the weight room before next year the sky is the limit. The kid can play D also, he can hit, they just don't let him play D much if at all.
