She said she spoke with Jets players and other individuals in the locker room. They seemed to have the same story as that "source".
August 12, 201511 yr Kind of silly to try and discern what happened with much certainty. Sounds as if both had some culpability which set up the jaw breaking incident. I think of a sucker punch as an attack where the victim had no idea something might be coming. I don't think that is what happened, but may be wrong. The offender is a hot head. Geno Smith doesn't seem to have the support of his teammates which you want for the franchise QB. That is telling and on him in large part.

August 12, 201511 yr Author Why do people want so badly for Geno to be at fault here? That's what I want to know. He seems like the victim to me. I really don't need any other details other than he was punched by a teammate in the locker room and is out 6-10 weeks. That is inexcusable regardless of why. August 12, 201511 yr There was a death in Smith's family a couple of days before the camp. He attended to family issues, and missed the camp. That's not a QB punking somebody out. When a qb puts his hand in a linebackers face and the linebacker doesn't do anything about it that is being punked out. Here's your sign.
August 12, 201511 yr As far as him getting signed by another team, couldn't this fall under the league's personal conduct policy and possibly warrant a suspension from the league??
