There was a death in Smith's family a couple of days before the camp. He attended to family issues, and missed the camp. That's not a QB punking somebody out.

August 12, 201511 yr My first question was do they play the Saints this year....and a bounty! Well, a little Google search...no they do not. Second question, do the Jets have a bounty system in place? Uh, maybe...probably not. Then I figured it out, it was Roger Goddell, Robert Kraft, The Hoodie, and Tom Brady were behind it. Gave the lb the $600 he was owed, got the biggest threat to Tom's throne out of the way,and a distraction from deflate gate...and the bonus, they pick up the released lb. IK submits to the "Patriots Way" and becomes the most dominating lb in the league in two years... Seriously, I bet he ends up in NE!

August 12, 201511 yr How long ago was the camp? I'm not saying Geno should have been punched but if it was over a month ago and he said that he was going to pay, I could see that getting annoying to the LB. Not to the point where he should punch Smith but I hate nagging people who owe me money.
