What the heck happened to Chelsea this season?

Jose Mourinho....

But really I wish I knew. They've been awful for the last year, if not for the great start last year they would have never held on and won the EPL last season. Not sure if the guys partied too hard this summer or what but most of the squad came in out of shape and out of form. Hazard, Matic, Ivanovic, Fabregas, and Costa all came in out of shape and played horrible to start the season. Slowly they are all coming around. Courtois was injured as well as Hazard, Oscar, and some other key pieces who are just getting back in shape.

Only one who has played well this season is Willian, everybody else has been garbage except maybe Azpilicueta. I think Jose lost the guys, guys just quit playing for him. Fabegras famously said he would rather play to lose for him as to play to win (although it's not been proven he was the one who said it). Mourinho totally destroyed Hazards confidence and will to play, Costa had been a wreck all season until Hidink finally got him back in line.

Just a mess of a season, going to miss the Champions League next year unless they miraculously win it this year. Lucky to avoid relegation the way this season has went.

Now what a story that would be, Champions Chelsea relegated and LC winning title two years after moving up from tier 2.

OK...that was dramatic. And oh so heartbreaking for the Foxes. Wow.

^ Yep. Bad foul to set up the game-winner in the 5th minute of 4.

Great game, but Arsenal was better and deserved it. That first half was incredible.

Excited that the Gunners are back in the thick at the top of the table.

Liverpool is so different with Sturridge on the field.......shame he can't stay healthy. I'm betting if he does, they'll sell him in the upcoming offseason.

Arsenal/Leicester was definitely worth waking up for. I'm not a sophisticated enough of a soccer observer to know the merits of all the penalties, but it seemed the referee was trying to stay afloat through most of the game.

Classic finish regardless.

Agree. With Sturridge & the 2 Os (Firmino & Coutinho) up front, they are really hard to deal with. Add Moreno / Clyne wide and Henderson / Can in the middle and they can do some things.

Back 4 are passable when the offense is attacking. Toure is game but his best days are behind him. Sakho has played much better recently. If Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtel can come back healthy, that would stabilize.

Mignolet runs very hot/cold.

Benteke is a very expensive sub.

After the heartbreak at Arsenal, the magical season continues for The Foxes.

Ulloa in the 89th minute. Leicester prevails 1 nil.

Wow. Just wow.

Tough break for Norwich, which could've really used that point in its quest to not be relegated.

Rough weekend for Arsenal.

Strange match today. There was a point where the camera almost missed an Ozil free kick because it was still on Van Gaal who was sprawled on his back on the sidelines pleading with an official. :lol2:

The histrionics were hilarious.

My breakfast this morning was a bowl of Captain Crunch and a pint of Guinness at Rhinehaus in OTR. Place was packed out with fans from several sides. Too bad about the Gunners, however.
