Like it or not, I can respect someone who says what they feel, instead of telling you what you want to hear.

Ha ha yea I just saw this. It's killing the Karl Roves of the world that they can't control Trump.

 

This is what we need in America, canidates that speak their minds (right or wrong) and not what their polls tell them to say.

 

If only the democrats had a Trump like canidate this year also. My o my.

 

Sanders fits part of that bill, not much like Trump though.

The coordinated, orchestrated Trump-hate is entertaining.

 

Have to admit - the 'No Amigos' was pretty funny.

Lots of attention now being paid to the violent behavor of many illegals. Trump is winning this battle, all of the media outlets that crucified him are now having to report about murders, etc.

Though, the smaller significance is that some of the Republican debates are capping participants at 10 and basing it on the polls, so I am a little surprised that Trump will likely get a spot on the stage. If everything stays the same that would leave only two spots for these candidates: Cruz, Christie, Santorum, Jindal, Kasich, Fiorina, and Graham.

 

It looks like Cruz, Christie, and Kasich made the cut. Kasich has a lot to gain here, I suppose. Not sure how much longer Perry (sort of surprising), Jindal, Fiorina, Santorum, and Graham (and Pataki and Gilmore) can keep bothering with it.

 

It will be interesting to see how Trump fares. I've never heard him say anything policy relevant and he gets by with grandiose claims, so a format where he can be asked for specifics by either the moderators or someone else seems like it will let some air out of his balloon. Then again, with 10 people up there he might be able to get by with the usual act.

Speaking of Trump and debating I just happened across him on the O'Reilly Factor. O'Reilly asked him if he was going to be able to get into specifics, e.g. how was he going to get Mexico to pay for a border wall. The Donald never really got to an answer that approached specific. But the Donald also sowed the seeds of lowered expectations by claiming he's not a professional politician like the rest and has never debated before and he also expects to get asked trick questions from the moderators.

 

If O'Reilly was running out of time pressing for specifics I imagine the debate moderators will as well.

Don't ever remember hearing specifics in a debate so I wouldn't count on it now.

If I'm Trump's campaign manager, I'm seeing if I can't talk to Jimmy Connors' people and USTA/CBS about getting the rights to some of the Connors footage from his miracle run at the '91 US Open at 39.

 

Specifically, I'm wanting to use the "This Is What They Want" clip from in the match. Might even see about some ace CGI people superimposing Trump's head on Connors' body and having him do the immortal line.

It's about time the American people got fed up with politicians getting rich off our backs. If Donald Trump gets that movement going, more power to him.

 

I don't think he's going to win but I like that he's stirring things up!
