I like Rubio and respect Huckabee but the GOP needs to be concerned that most of their front running candidates are not conservatives.

Which is a shame. Why do the American people insist on having politicians that tell something other than the truth. That isn't a bipartisan comment it cuts both ways.

Not entirely. What I am speaking on is the legalization of marijuana and looking into the discrepancy of sentencing between cocaine powder and crack cocaine. Legalizing drugs and legalizing marijuana is two different things to me. Cocaine powder and crack cocaine should have the same sentences. You shouldn't get more jail time for possessing crack cocaine. It is Rand Paul's liberal leanings saying this though.

 

Only 13 states (according to what I've read) differentiate between crack and powder cocaine.

 

It is typically at the federal level where the biggest differences in sentencing occur regarding crack vs powder. If a case is federal, my guess is it's someone who wasn't just possessing the drug. Regardless, I believe the sentencing is 18-1 crack/powder at the federal level.

 

What isn't typically mentioned in the crack vs powder debate is that Meth penalties are as bad as crack at the Federal level.

In 1998, Congress imposed the same mandatory minimum sentences on methamphetamine users. And they disproportionately affect whites, since most meth addicts and dealers are Caucasian.

Just 10 grams of meth brings a mandatory minimum sentence of five years. Those caught with 100 grams get at least 10 years in the slammer. The tougher prison terms were a response to the explosion of meth labs in rural areas across the country. Meth was becoming known as the "crack of rural America." "Meth babies" replaced crack babies as a media obsession.

Prisons are now teeming with poor whites busted for meth. In fact, about 60% of people sent to the federal pen for meth crimes are white, while just 2% are black.

I agree with a lot of what you guys are predicting about Trump.

 

But......

 

When he gets on the debate stage he will make the others very nervous about what he might say. You can dog Trump all you want but the bottom line is, he will force the other canidates to talk about things they clearly don't want to.

 

Many americans are tired of status quo and it has nothing to do with political parties.

 

Obviously the overwhelming majority of democrats are ok with the status quo, otherwise Hillary would already be toast.

First, you do not "negotiate" with a guy like this, and second, why does Trump think he can stop this guy?

As much as I would like to see Trump hang in the race, if for no other reason that it would keep me slightly interest, this whole exchange is stupid.

I will say it's ironic that people were so offended when Trump called these people criminals and now they are threatening his life.
