According to article from The Huffington Post.

What this guy said about immigrants earlier this week and he is still polling 2nd just behind Bush, BUT leading the rest of the herd.

I find this hard to believe, that is unless the polling is from a very narrow segment.

It looks like it was done professionally enough. But, I wouldn't put much stock into it this early. I imagine hardly anyone is committed, haven't given it much thought yet, and gravitate towards recognizable names.

Though, the smaller significance is that some of the Republican debates are capping participants at 10 and basing it on the polls, so I am a little surprised that Trump will likely get a spot on the stage. If everything stays the same that would leave only two spots for these candidates: Cruz, Christie, Santorum, Jindal, Kasich, Fiorina, and Graham.

Will have to get my beer and popcorn ready, gonna be fun!

People may laugh now, but if he becomes a legitimate candidate and then wins. The humor would go out the window. He has $$ and an extremely high profile that will buy and earn him votes, maybe even the Presidency. If Arnold can win in Cali and Ventura in Minnesota, it is not out of the realm of possibility he could win.

Concerning to me.

Not that I want Trump, but I would love to have a big business person take the seat. Bush Jr. was that by default of his wealth, but I am talking a self made business oriented type individual.

Trump would be far better than what we have now and a lot better than Hillary.

Exactly.

And his honesty, no matter how anyone wants to term it, is VERY refreshing.

The south is in love with the guy if my cousin's FB page is any indication.

Unfortunately, the Trumpster is unelectable.

I posted these poll numbers last night on the Hillary thread. But a repeat performance is in order here.

According to CNN 7-1-15 poll:

Mrs. Clinton leads Bush 54-41

57-37 vs. Christie

56-39 vs. Rubio

57-38 Walker ... and drum roll please ...

59-34 over Trump

At this point I don't think he has much of a chance but I hope he is along for the ride, he will say a lot of things that need to be said.

Trump's entertainment value in the GOP primary debates cannot be underestimated. Which is why Fox will make sure he's in the top 10 for the first slugfest. Trump's real power lies in his potential to knock out one or more of the top GOP contenders.

While I agree he is entertaining I don't look at it that way, we are way too politically correct in America and Trump is going to tell us all about it.

I too am entertained by the fact that Trump is both candid and outspoken (and humorous at times), but to go on an anti-Mexican rant when Hispanics now total 55 million in this country is akin to general-election suicide. And don't think these rants won't have a negative effect on whomever the GOP candidate will be 16 months down the road.
