Hiring him to not only coach but also be in charge of the front office. Would this be enough to lure him away from Lexington?

I don't think so. Sacramento is one of the few franchises that I would put on my "Do Not Trade" List. They're likely the most inept franchise in the NBA right now.

Coaching Boogie & WCS would be appealing, but Sacramento is not a desirable location for FA's. What are the chances that the elite FA's go to Sacramento? Slim to none. What are the chances Kevin Durant chooses to play in Sacramento? None.

I think Cal will ultimately end up in the NBA again within the next 2-3 years, but he has the ability to be picky -- and this job is not what he'll want. He'd be better off holding out for a franchise that has a more stable foundation...and one that is in the Eastern Conference.

Adrian with the long last name that starts with a W is also reporting this.

I'd say he was the first to report it.

I'll start thinking this is an option if the Kings really do trade for Bledsoe and they still have Cousins and WCS.

For now, someone copy and paste what I've posted in every other Cal to the NBA thread of the last 4 years.

He would be an absolute fool to take that job. He's passed up a ton of better jobs than this one. The Kings have made an unbelievable mess of this situation.

For what it's worth:

@UKCoachCalipari: For the 100th time, I have the best coaching position in the world, I am not looking for any other coaching position.

He went on to discuss his relation with their owner and how often they talk about Boogie and then:

@UKCoachCalipari: An no time has @Vivek (Kings owner) offered me a job. I WILL BE AT KENTUCKY.

I figured if he didn't turn it down on social media by 3pm all hell would have broken loose. The day he doesn't reply to a job immediately on social media folks will lose their minds.

Cal has it way too good at UK to go to Sacramento. This franchise is no where near even making the playoffs in the West. Since Billy D went to Oklahoma City, the media thinks Cal is next. I highly doubt he will go back to the NBA since he cannot get the top talent and reload every year like he does at UK.

As far as getting several former UK players at Sacramento and go that route, it really didn't work out for Pitino when he tried that at Boston.

No. Cal will eventually take one of only 2-3 NBA jobs IMO.

1. The team that LeBron plays for.

2. The team that Davis plays for.

or

3. The Lakers

If you are trying to lure Cal to a team I'm not sure Cosuins in the player to do it with.

He's over $7m per year and they said it would take $10m or more. I think I'd stay put and continue to be a god.

So you're the guy that listens to that show. Always wondered who it was.
