June 29, 201511 yr See the Louisville skyline from the top of Iroquois Park. I've only been there a couple of times for concerts at the amphitheater, so I haven't really explored the park. Pretty beautiful sights?
June 29, 201511 yr So my wife and I were at "Resurfaced" last night. For those unfamiliar...Resurfaced is a non-profit organization that has taken a vacant and unused space on Main Street in downtown Louisville and has organized weekly events during June as an effort to simply get people together to enjoy the city and socialize. The space is pretty awesome, actually. It's an area formerly occupied by four buildings built in the mid-to-late 1800s. The buildings have been demolished, but the building facades have been shored up and are still standing in place. Otherwise, it's just essentially an open-air biergarten of sorts, surrounded by vintage brick walls. Really cool place to be outside. [ATTACH]51238[/ATTACH] So anyway, while we were sitting there and listening to the band they had playing last night, my wife told me that Resurfaced was definitely a Louisville bucket list item as far as she was concerned. Got us to talking about what items would make up a true "Louisville Bucket List". One of my very good friends was one of the curators for ReSurfaced this summer. I was down there Saturday as well. I'm looking forward to the new space in September!
June 29, 201511 yr Some people hate the crowds, but I always tell people they need to take in Thunder Over Louisville at least once from Waterfront Park. Many of the suggestions by others here I strongly recommend as well.

June 29, 201511 yr Here's one that is no longer possible, but I went several times. Attend the Mason Dixon games at Broadbent Arena. Lots of fun watching runners on that old heavily banked wooden track.
