'17 Covcath G Cole Vonhandorf Recruitment

How did a recruiter telling Cole that his role model should be Aaron Craft, turn into anyone saying CVH was even approaching his equal? Warren Buffett should be my role model, that doesn't mean anyone is comparing me to him.

I'm not sure I think Aaron Craft is CVH's ceiling, I've always had another player in mind for what Cole COULD turn into in 6 years, but I'd say telling guards entering their junior year that Craft should be their role model is good advice for 1,000's of young basketball players.

I was going to ask you who the player is that you have in mind as a role model, but after reading through this thread I am having second thoughts.

Second thoughts?

Aaron Craft is most assuredly not 6' -- I can assure you of that. Dude has really good size. He is at least 6'2" and very solidly put together.

You responded to me before I could change the 6'2'' to "undersized".

Is CVH really 6'2" 180? Does not seem to be that tall or think?

Not sure about height. Weight sounds close.

Not a role model, who I think would be Cole's ceiling in college in terms of skill set, strengths and weaknesses, etc. His role model should be his dad, Gandhi, and whomever else can help him be the best man he can be.

If he is 6'2" he is not 180. If he is 180 he is not 6'2"

That was from the stands last year. I'm sure he worked hard again over the summer to bulk up.

We just filled out the basketball insurance paperwork for the youngest TACster last night. After the hgt/wgt part is said. "please fill out honestly" Thought that was amusing.

Kid is thicker than you might realize especially his lower base. He's not far off.

Who said he was those measurements?

Now, having said that, as Clyde mentioned, I bet they are closer than you'd think. I'd put him at 6'1" and 175 in socks, if you made me guess.

Some summer highlights from Best of the South tournament.

Aaron Craft scored over 1,300 points and dished out almost 700 assists in the Big Ten Conference.

Vonhandorf is a really nice player but we'd better tone it down just a tad for now.

Saw it on post #7

Strong video. That spin move is tight. His pull up is really good.

If he steps into a shot he's tough. He struggles when he catches it and is not stepping into the shot.

He gets great separation.

I've very much enjoyed watching CVH play these last two years. CovCath has a special thing going lately and much of that can be attributed to this young man's talents.
