Shooting in Charleston, SC

Featured Replies

So if I shoot up people in a candy store, it's because I hate candy?

He still did it at a church.

Despite all evidence to the contrary, you still believe this was an anti-Christian shooting? Do you believe he was saying Christians are raping "our women?" Who are "our women?"

For the 4th time, he still did it at a church.

It doesn't really matter, now does it...

....because Thou Shalt Not Kill.

And it was a black church. If he went shooting into a store that was known to be frequented by mostly blacks, would you classify it as he targeted the store or black people?

You can't look at just the location but the victims.

It does matter. Because it was a racially motivated hate crime.

I know what the Commandments say.

Still doesn't change the fact that it was motivated by race.

What if you don't believe in God or the Commandments. Kind of throws that whole "Thou Shalt Not Kill" thing out the window.....

Another AME church in Charleston was evacuated today due to a bomb threat.

It doesn't matter what his motive was.

He killed 9 people in a church.

He did not kill 9 black, white, green, purple, orange, brown, or yellow people.

He killed 9 people in a church.

I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character. MLK, Jr.

That is between you and your maker someday.

Of course, the copy-cats will try their games, too.

He did kill 9 people. 9 black people.

You can keep believing this was a religious hate crime but it wasn't.

And ironic you use that quote. The victims were judged by the color of their skin by the shooter.

Considering he had a CSA license plate, and patches of the flags of both Rhodesia and apartheid South Africa. I'm leaning towards race just a wee bit.

But! But! But! But! But! It was at a church! A church! A CHURCH! IT WAS AT A CHURCH!

So yeah, I guess it's probably not about race. And even though he actually told people it was about race before he shot them, it's probably still about religion. I keep forgetting it's at a church.

My bad.
