June 20, 201511 yr Author This is not the answer; however, this is the solution that many will take going forward. Act first and then ask questions later. The church age is coming to an end in this country. Unfortunately it's the only answer or solution we have at this time.
June 20, 201511 yr Since when do victim family members speak at bail hearings? Odd justice system in SC. Yeah. Really strange. There are plenty of times when a prosecutor will talk to victims' families here in Kentucky but even at sentencing or parole hearings, statements from victims or their families are done in writing, rather than in person.
June 20, 201511 yr To no one's surprise a lot of info is coming out about the killer. Pictures of him on the beach where he wrote 14:88 in the sand are now popping up. 14:88 is a favorite of the white supremacists. Urban Dictionary: 14/88
June 20, 201511 yr Unfortunately it's the only answer or solution we have at this time. I disagree. Force is not the answer. Prayer and Christian love towards him almost saved this congregation, but it wasn't enough. We need to look towards God more in our communities and less on Man for answers before incidents like this happen again.
June 20, 201511 yr Author Someone has a weapon, they want to kill people, force is the only solution when it gets to this point. As many on here know, I am VERY religious, so I always look to God first, these were Godly people inside a church. Sorry to say that unfortunately the only way this could have been stopped when he entered the church would have been force.
June 20, 201511 yr Author There is a story that goes something like this: There is a flood, and a man is in his house and the water is rising, and it's up to the top step to his house, a boat comes by to rescue him, the man says no, that God will save him. Another boat comes by and the water is up to the second floor, he tells them he will not leave, that God will save him. A while later the water is up to the roof and he is standing on the roof, a helicopter comes to rescue him, and again he says he is waiting for God to save him. The man drowns in the flood, and when he gets to Heaven he asks God why he didn't save him. God told him, I sent two boats and a helicopter to save you and you refused, what else did you want? Sometimes God will send other people to help, he isn't going to come himself. Also, God intended us to help and defend each other, if not then explain John 15:13, Why is God talking about laying down your life for others if He did not intend you to do so? He did not say how to do it, He did not say how to protect others, he just says there is no greater love than to lay down your life for others. Fighting to save others, and possibly killing the evil, is what God expects.
June 20, 201511 yr Look at this dude. His eyes are flat out scary. The face of pure evil. I hope the prison population has a fun time taking turns with him...

When was the church age in America? Just wondering if you have a hard definition rather than an ambious term.
June 20, 201511 yr Makes two of us. Can't say I'm stunned...it's South Carolina. Just look at how the white judge began his monologue(expressing compassion and sympathy for the shooter's family) on the day Roof appeared in court.

He did not say how to do it, He did not say how to protect others, he just says there is no greater love than to lay down your life for others. Fighting to save others, and possibly killing the evil, is what God expects. Sounds like God is lazy or negligent at best; a conspirator to murder certainly within reason. There is absolutely NO WAY that a loving God would allow those nine people to die at the hands of some madman while at Bible study. If, in fact, the God of the Bible exists(which I don't believe), then why would anyone want to spent one second of eternity with such a being? The Bible references murderous rampages by God(even the killings of infants). So maybe these church killings are entertainment for God. Charleston, I feel, is just further reason for total rejection of the God of the Bible.(Not a rejection of a "God Consciousness" but the God of the Bible and other religious texts) The only inspiration for the Bible was likely some very powerful mushrooms. Now... let's be sensible(and rational) for maybe one second. I don't blame a God for the crazy murders of Newtown or Charleston. If I thought there was a man in the clouds who could disallow such acts then , yes, I would be mad as hell at the divine tyrant. But there is no man in the clouds to blame. Man , I believe, is basically good. But sometimes things go very, very wrong with people. It just happens. We lose touch with our Good nature. One thought of Hate leads to another , then another, until those thoughts begin to manifest Hateful acts. Somehow humankind must find a way replace Hate with Love. If you want to say that God is Love or God is the collective consciousness of all that is good and pure, I can go along with that. If this kid's inner being had been so aligned with a consciousness of goodness and Love, he would have never even had thoughts that eventually led to these awful acts. We are all responsible for thoughts that tip the balance of a collective consciousness towards Love(Good) or Hate(Bad). I don't give credit to a man in the clouds when something good happens, nor do I blame a Devil or a man in the clouds when things go very, very, wrong. As more and more people choose Love over Hate, there will be less and less of these kind of deeds. It just seems like our violent world, and specifically our very violent society has become very polarized and very hate-filled. Hence, we continue to see more and more of these unspeakable acts. We are too often choosing hate over love. If God is a collective consciousness of Goodness and Love, then we all have a choice to align our inner selves with such a consciousness. We can choose to perpetuate Love or Hate, Good or Evil. Whatever choices we make will dictate the future course of events on this planet. I think if people sought to be more spiritual and less religious we would begin making some endroads in tipping the scales of the collective consciousness in favor of Love(God) over Hate.
June 20, 201511 yr Since when do victim family members speak at bail hearings? Odd justice system in SC. It may just have to do with the sensational nature of this case and the massive amounts of media interest there is in it.
