June 17, 201511 yr Im going bold and saying they trade no one. ^ This. NO ONE. Walt and Castelinni all in with this team. They will get on a winning streak and all will be well.
June 18, 201511 yr IMO if anyone the Reds may deal .... Queto, Chapman and possibly Leake. JMO now but the ones that personally I do not trade are Frazier (imo he is the leader of this team), Phillips, Votto, Pena (doing a great job filling in at C plus contributes at the plate). Also, I know that it's about producing (and he hasn't been) but I would hang on to Bruce, the man Wants to be in Cincy, loves the city and fans and does a lot in the community. That's a teammate, good man in the clubhouse and although doesn't have the numbers he wants or what were expected but he has been picking it up after such a terrible start. Anyway, I won't be throwing any fits or rage if they do deal Bruce and was jmo. BTW ... I put Votto on my "NO trade" list but would listen to offers. Any Votto offers would have to be VERY Substantial .... more than one Top Players and $$$.
June 18, 201511 yr Who cares? They'll get some piece of crap pitcher and piece of crap bat prospect for him. They don't need the money next year. He's our piece of crap. I'd rather keep him in Cincy and try and sign him for 6 or 7 less mill than he makes now. Do you really think that could happen in this day and age. Nobody under 30 signs for less on his next contract.
June 18, 201511 yr After thinking about this some more, I think the only guy that will be traded for sure is Cueto because there is absolutely no way that they can sign him for the money that he will command. Think they can sign Leake for a reasonable amount that does not break the bank. Everyone else is under contract for next year correct? If this team is going to rebuild, then I start converting Chapman to a starter now. If I cannot sign him to an extension then he is more valuable as a starter than as a reliever. I originally said trade Pena, but there is no one capable in the system currently to be an everyday catcher.

June 18, 201511 yr Pena is a free agent after this season as well. Thought he signed a 3 year contract. If only 2, then I am looking to re-up with him for sure. His price tag would be fairly cheap I presume.
June 18, 201511 yr I would of thought someone would be dealt by now. I still think Cueto and Chapman for sure, but I'm not as confident as I was a month ago.
June 18, 201511 yr Cueto for sure and Byrd will be a desired commodity if he is healthy. Not going to get much more than a prospect for Byrd but somebody will want his leadership down the stretch.
June 18, 201511 yr If the Reds feel like they can't contend next year, they have to trade Chapman. If they trade Frazier I'll be really disappointed in them, I really think he should be a Reds lifer and I hope they can figure out how to make it happen.
June 19, 201511 yr If the Reds feel like they can't contend next year, they have to trade Chapman. If they trade Frazier I'll be really disappointed in them, I really think he should be a Reds lifer and I hope they can figure out how to make it happen. He will cost too much and he's not exactly young. I'd trade him right now b/c he might bring back the most in a trade and I don't think he will every have this good of a half a season again.
June 19, 201511 yr ^ This. NO ONE. Walt and Castelinni all in with this team. They will get on a winning streak and all will be well. I don't think this team with these injuries can go on any kind of winning streak.
June 20, 201511 yr Do you really think that could happen in this day and age. Nobody under 30 signs for less on his next contract. You really think that Bruce thinks he's a 12.5 million dollar/year player? Two straight seasons of batting .220 is certainly humbling.
