There was speculation this morning that out of spite, the Bulls would wait until the other vacancies were filled before firing Thibs, even though it would have cost them more. I guess they (somewhat) came to their senses.

Saw that Jeff Van Gundy interviewed for the job this week. Gotta think the idea of coaching Davis will entice a lot of guys to go after the job.

Saw today that rift between Thibs and front office accelerated in 2012 when coaches wanted to draft Draymond Green and team took Marquis Teague instead.

Not sure I would want Thibs as my coach. Wears players out and is difficult to get along with. I think he is very over rated as a coach. He should get a good gig though because not all the GM's in the NBA agree with me...

Bet Thibs goes to the Magic. Place is just oozing potential down there. That includes the 5th pick in the draft too. Very attractive to a coach.

And that doesn't knock the Pels but what do they really have outside of Davis and Evans? Eric Gordon has been hurt a lot and you really won't know when that injury bug comes back around. Holiday is getting injured a lot lately too and ended off coming off the bench at the end of the year. Anderson can score very well but can't play defense. And Asik has had a definite regression.
