Anybody ever had a famous person respond to you on twitter?

 

I had a Randy Moss/Jerry Rice discussion with Roland Martin once.

 

Had an NBA discussion with actor Tyrin Turner who played Caine in Menace II Society.

 

Have had a few conversations with NFL reporter Mike Freeman on more than one occasion and he has followed me back.

 

Have been fortunate to have multiple conversations with Brett Dawson and Jason Frakes. Love both of those dudes.

 

I would love for Kobe Bryant, Aaron Rodgers, Mike Smith and Jemele Hill to acknowledge a tweet of mine or have a conversation with any of them. That is my Twitter dream.

Gotcha. I'd encourage you to at least check it out before you decide. Great place to get news/info about things that are important/interesting to YOU. Just use it to read. You don't have to tweet.

 

I've found great documentaries, books, and music as a result of Twitter.

In. The limit of characters is good for my short attention span. Use for news, traffic and weather. I also like to follow my favorite shows while the actors live tweet during the show broadcast.

Since the day Google Reader died, Twitter has been the best news aggregation tool available. You do have to work at it a bit to figure certain things out. (You don't follow a newspaper feed, you follow certain reporters. You don't follow the general athletics account, you follow a feed for a specific school sport to get good detail.)

 

In the end, it doesn't take too long to filter out the noise from Twitter while retaining an extensive feed that's full of as much info in 140 characters as you'll get in an entire 30-minute newscast.
