May 15, 201511 yr Author LBJ may be faster, but I'm not sure footwork wise he's quicker. Backing in I think Hakeem could spin and score either direction quicker than just about anyone LBJ has seen or tried to guard down low. I'm also not buying that he's stronger than Hakeem. LBJ may beat him or Duncan, but it would not be easy for him. Hakeem is 52. He's not backing a a 30 yr old 6'9 270 pound man down nor doing any fancy footwork.

May 15, 201511 yr I did. AI would kill LBJ off the dribble, would outshoot him and out tough him for rebounds. Iverson is so under rated it's crazy. I am the biggest AI fan on this site and have been since its inception in 2000. I L.O.V.E. The Answer. That said....you're killing me. "Out tough him for rebounds"? LeBron is 8" taller and 100 pounds heavier. AI would have him in a blender off the bounce, for sure, as he once famously made MJ fall down guarding him on a crossover, but that would be the extent of the advantage. Iverson, in my opinion, is the greatest small man in NBA history, but LeBron isn't a small man. Iverson is top 10-20 all-time, LeBron is top 3-5...and I love one of those guys and am neutral (at best) on the other.

The gap is not as large as people want to believe. Hell, the gap between MJ and Kobe is not that large either. One-on-one I'd put my money on LBJ over everyone.

All in all, MJ probably wins more than he loses against the other two, but I wouldn't bet the pot on MJ in any one particular game. LBJ vs Kobe (all talking in primes here) would be a very good battle for sure.

Can't agree with LBJ being quicker that MJ...bigger and stronger for sure and more of an "athletic freak" of nature no doubt. With that said, MJ's athleticism or raw basketball skill isn't what made many people think him the GOAT. MJ had a burning desire to both beat his opponent AND an equally hot burning desire to NOT lose. He had quite possibly the fiercest competitive desire ever, and it's something the LBJ has shown he just can't match, IMO anyway.

May 15, 201511 yr Back in the day Jordan would CRUSH James now, Jordan is in his 50's. I couldn't see him stopping LBJ but I couldn't see LBJ stopping Jordan if his shot is on.
