I can't see it. I'd argue Lebron is more athletic than AI and can guard him better than most with his size advantage. I also doubt that AI is a better shooter than LBJ.

LBJ may be more athletic in the paint but there is no way he could guard AI on the perimeter. Iverson would get to the rim at will or shoot uncontested j's with LBJ backing off.

So if AI gets past Lebron you don't think Lebron would come from behind and block AI's shot the same way he has done hundreds of times in his NBA career? I love AI but I don't see him being able to handle Lebron who I think we all agree is a guy who has MJ's athleticism with Karl Malone's build. To beat Lebron you have to make him play on the post. No way AI beats him everytime in a game of make it/take it.

 

I could see Tim Duncan beating Lebron. Not many others though. Hakeem also.

Couldn't you guys see Mike pulling out every horrible trick he's ever done mentally to his opponents and teammates over the years and laying all that on LeBron? The thought of them going mano-y-mano now is very fascinating.

In 1 on 1, LBJ would stop AI a certain percentage of the time, in that there is no doubt. What that percentage would be is debatable. LBJ on the other hand, could back AI down to the rim EVERY time if he wanted to and virtually score AT WILL, and there wouldn't be 1 thing AI could do to stop it. If they played 100 times, my money would be on LBJ 100 times.

 

And by the way, I'm no LBJ fan either.

All they would need to do is back him down into a comfortable spot and both players are offensively skilled enough to score on LBJ within 15 feet.

Hakeem's not gonna do it nearly as effectively though as LBJ would against AI. LBJ has a MUCH better chance of guarding The Dream and preventing him from just backing him down every time. I have no doubt that LBJ is the stronger of the 2 players, and quicker as well. My money is on LBJ against Hakeem, though it's probably a closer game than LBJ vs AI.

LBJ may be faster, but I'm not sure footwork wise he's quicker. Backing in I think Hakeem could spin and score either direction quicker than just about anyone LBJ has seen or tried to guard down low.

 

I'm also not buying that he's stronger than Hakeem. LBJ may beat him or Duncan, but it would not be easy for him.
