I'll take two state championships in the last 10 years. And as far as your schedule I do believe it is tough to play a team that is more battle tested than you are when you face them. If you play a lesser schedule and come into a game undefeated, and then face a team that is let's say 5-2. If the 5-2 team faced a tougher schedule playing the undefeated team may be a breeze if they are only undefeated based on competition.

 

I do believe we can revisit this again and I will admit if I am wrong.....

 

If LexCath defeats Garrard County it will be because they have the better team. Not because of the schedule. Obviously Garrard County defeating LexCath is the only way you'll admit defeat but with the exception of maybe a few I think everyone expects LexCath to defeat Garrard County regardless of either team's schedule.

Is Josh Jaggers joining Coach Perry staff? If that's true, that will be a home run hire. I know Josh and Coach Perry are pretty tight. Also heard he was thinking about joining the Danville staff. We all know they need all the help they can get with coaches and you wouldn't get any better than him!

Man, that would be great for Garrard Co. Josh Jaggers would be a home run for sure at either Garrard or Danville. He did a very good job at LaRue. His kids played extremely hard for him.

As of today there aren't any plans for him to join the staff at Garrard County and Jaggers and Danville have not had any communication at all. I expect him to continue teaching at Larue County and if he does join a coaching staff I expect it to be somewhere in the area he is in now.

Well it's good for Josh that you squared that away. He is a great guy and awesome coach. Whoever gets a chance to hire him won't regret doing so.

FWIW, I think there are some really strong staffs in the area, right now.

I saw GC at a local 7 on 7 last week. I think they may be OK skill wise. Looked like they have pretty good numbers. Played quite a few kids in the 7 on 7 with a slew of young ones on the lower field. Any word on their overall progress? Or has JP consented to be the 3rd or 4th best team in that district. From other threads, sounds like they should just throw in the towel.

There are a lot of questions going into a season, but for JP...that is a big NEGATIVE. I'm sure he would take his guys over any of the other district teams. Just like any coach would. Nobody "consents" to losing, at least not in Lancaster...we don't.

You can rest assured that my comments were with tongue in cheek. I think GC could be that "under the radar" team that will be much better than many expect.

I like the senior class, I think they are a talented group. I'm anxious to see what they can do this year.

I think Garrard will be a quality opponent for any team on their schedule. I think Boyle is better and also Lexington Catholic , but you don't play the games on paper. I guarantee no one is taking them lightly.
