Rockcastle will beat Garrard pretty handedly. Garrard doesn't have the horses to move the ball on Rockcastle.

But, if Garrard has a lot more speed couldn't it possibly end up being a long night for Rockcastle County.

 

Garrard obviously uses a run based offense with two 1,000 yard rushers returning. The game will likely come down to turnovers and big plays. If one team wins both of those categories then they likely win the game.

I am looking forward to Garrard County traveling to NKY to take on Lloyd Memorial. Although these two schools are from different classes I fully expect a competitive and exciting game. Both teams run the ball effectively and have exciting running backs. IMO this game will be much closer than many prognosticators will probably speculate. If this game is a good as I think it will it could lead to a regular contest between the two schools. We shall see...

Garrard and Lloyd have played a few times over the years. They were in the same district in the early-2000s when Lloyd won both games. Garrard then beat Lloyd in 2011 and 2012, both pretty convincingly.

I think you misunderstand the style of football Rockcastle plays. A very physical style, I am not sure you have the type of tough kids to play against Rockcastle. if you are more of a finesse type team than it may be a long hard night for you.

What does Garrard have coming up on the offensive line other than the real big kid returning? I know many of those guys were Seniors last year.

That's my thought process as well. Garrard County has quietly put together a very solid football program and Coach Perry seems to be elevating that program and culture already after one season. I would not sleep on Garrard County at all.
