April 28, 201511 yr Author The Xs are for multiply. A friend of my posted this on facebook yesterday. Said it was on her 3 grade son's MAPs test. The argument was if the answer was 30 or 44. It was pretty evenly split, I said 44.
April 28, 201511 yr I'd guess they got 30 if they did this part wrong -(3-2x5). Should be minus negative 7 which is really add 7.
