The deadline to withdraw is currently the same date as the opening of spring signing. This year that is April 14th. So the players who announced yesterday have until Tuesday to change their mind. The other option is they could have waited until as late as April 26th to announce they were going pro but they would already been past the above deadlines and would not have been able to speak to NBA reps and others about their draft potential

The difference b/n the two is that Nazr spent his Sophomore and JR years learning to be a pro. He lost weight, had a very underrated low post skill set, and genuinely was one of the better bigs coming out. Johnson has that same ability. Had he stayed for another year and focused on his athleticism, he could have been a lottery pick next year. I don't know the kid, obviously, so he could have an incredible work ethic and without the distractions of anything else, focus solely on his career. He could become a dominant force. I hope that he does. I just feel that had he stuck around 1 more year, he would have improved, maybe, more than anyone else on this team.

Johnson will get paid a lot of money to play basketball next year, not sure it will be in the NBA, but it may be.

Yep. There are blips with stronger teams with power at the top. Seems like it occurs every other season. This year there were some quality teams with star power up top. Last year not so much. 2013 was bad. 2012 strong. 2011 bad.

I know some local guys who have made/are making a pretty daggone good living playing hoops overseas.

There are worse places to play. The Barcelona FC guys are huge into bball. He could be rubbing elbows w Pique which means hanging w Shakira. Nice way to live.

Why would anyone want their autographs? Maybe I could see why a young kid would be enamored by these guys, but surely not an adult. I mean autographs of Presidents Obama, Clinton, Bush , etc... I can see that but.... Dakari Johnson. Geez.
