I think WCS is a wild card. He will have a decent career because there are not a lot of 7 foot guys that can guard a wing. Because of his jumping and his defense he will be a role player for awhile. I am not sold on Dakari or Booker or the Harrisons but all 4 could have very solid NBA careers.

I also think that WCS has quite a bit more room before he reaching his ceiling offensively.

 

Unless he gets bored and decides to open up an art gallery in downtown Lexington after a few years in the NBA.

One thing I found funny about the presser yesterday was when they sit down Andrew was sitting down by Willie and he grinned at Andrew and leaned over and put his hand over the mic. That gave me a good laugh.

The difference b/n the two is that Nazr spent his Sophomore and JR years learning to be a pro. He lost weight, had a very underrated low post skill set, and genuinely was one of the better bigs coming out. Johnson has that same ability. Had he stayed for another year and focused on his athleticism, he could have been a lottery pick next year. I don't know the kid, obviously, so he could have an incredible work ethic and without the distractions of anything else, focus solely on his career. He could become a dominant force. I hope that he does. I just feel that had he stuck around 1 more year, he would have improved, maybe, more than anyone else on this team.

This will be the first time the twins will be apart from each other. Once drafted they will no longer play together which has never happened. They also

have never spent more than 25 hours apart their entire lives.

 

Bittersweet day today at the Harrison household today.

 

It has a big effect. My boys spent one season apart in 6th grade bball and had a hard time adjusting. I couldn't imagine going through that adjustment during camp. It can't be overstated the amount of support that a twin offers. However, the Grant brothers seem to have done well for themselves in the 90s. I'm sure that they will both overcome that quickly.

Loved Booker's response when asked what is next. I cannot quote exactly what he said but it went something like this, "We will look at some agents, but I still have unfinished business. We still have 4 weeks of school." This boy will succeed in life because he has his priorities correct!

 

He also has the benefit of a Dad who knows how this type of thing works. That is a great luxury at this stage.

No need to stay and go to classes you can take after your playing days are over when you could be refining your skills and getting better during the years you can actually make money playing the game.

Watched Ryle High School and (ugh) Xavier product Justin Doellman's team FC Barcelona on NBA TV just the other day. He's had a heck of a career over in Spain.

I think this is where Booker is... I think that Bookers athletism or lack there of will catch up with him in the league. As teams really crowded him in the tournament and found him in transition, his ability to score diminished. The longer he stayed in college, I think the worse his draft stock would be.

I don't like him but Geno was right.

Johnson was not even a good college player.
