As of today Tanner Robins will not be playing football and I don't expect that to change.

For Mercer to be successful they need to have a healthy Drew Davis and Chase Moore for the entire season. O - line has some gaps to fill and I would have to think Coach B is doing what he can to get those kids to come out. The backfield should be top notch with Dee Smith, Baker, Bradshaw and possibly Ford.

Coach B knows he has to change the culture of the program and based on what I'm hearing about the excitement surrounding the players that is starting now!

Not certain of the complete schedule but according to khsaa they drop Boyle and Lex Cath out of their district and pick up East and West Jess.

Mercer District is Marion, Taylor, East and West Jessamine. They will have a Bowl game. I'm unsure who it will be tho

North Hardin.. Central Hardin plays Boyle in other part of bowl game

I also hear that there are some skill players coming out this year that did not play last year. The guys I am hearing should be able to make an impact at the WR / DB position.

Mercer should be quite improved... Their season was kind of wrecked by injuries, last year (and, if what have read on here is correct, off-field issues). In addition, their district schedule lightens up considerably - though the pre-district schedule looks pretty rugged.

 

Dave Buchanan was the absolute best hire they could have made, IMO.

Parents are one of Mercer's biggest problem. We all want to see our kids play, but this is high school ball you put your best 11 on the field. Parents need realty checks, no your 5'10 200 lb OL will not be playing D1 football.

Probably hard to say, considering how many injuries they had last season.

Mercer will improve, record at best will be 6-4. They will not beat Lafayette, Anderson, South Western, or Taylor County.

Don't your chickens before they hatch. Barring injuries I can see them defeating Anderson, SW and Taylor County. As of today everyone is healthy and the attitude at the school is infectious.
