I fully expect Coach Pardue to be named the OC some time in the future. Could be in a couple of weeks or before practice starts in July. Not sure when but I expect it to be him at some point.

Boyle County hasn't played at Highlands' level since 2003. IMO Boyle will not get back to the Highlands, Trinity, BG, St. X level without installing a platoon system. It's too hard to play and defeat teams that play at that level platooning their players. That's my whole point. And 3A this season and the next few years will be tougher than 4A was when Highlands came to 4A. Boyle would have a distinct advantage platooning players at the 3A level. I can't imagine many teams will be platooning at that level.

 

Central platoons.

 

Belfry hasn't 100% platooned but part of their success over the past 15 years has been a drastic reduction in the number of two way players.

 

IMHO, the lack of two way players is exactly what has allowed Belfry and Central to separate themselves from the rest of 3A since the alignment. The 3A class has been all about defense and the running game. No surprise that the two teams who maintain the freshest offensive and defensive lines have been able to thrive in November

Central platoons.

Boyle has a new transfer that came in today. He is a upcoming Senior and his name is Corey Swanner. He's transferring from Bell County. He played Running Back and Linebacker there last season. I would love to invite him to the Rebel family.

Possible but doubtful.. don't think Bell has enough horsepower to get out of the East
