No Dude Perfect editing out the misses either...10 straight shots with no warm up shots!!!

.....

Having young kids, this is a really interesting debate. Missing two years of their development would be awful, but winning $20 million and being able to spend ALL of my time with them moving forward would be unreal.

How good of a shooter I am from 22' has nearly nothing to do with how well I shoot it from 47'. The form will be different, in fact, the form will be a two step heave. Like many others, I think I could get 1 to go in, in an empty gym, at a shoot-around. With 20,000 people watching and with what hangs in the balance...wow...it would get progressively tougher as you kept missing.

As many of you may know, virtually every D-1 shoot-around in the country ends with players taking half-court shots. 18-23 year olds that shoot thousands of basketballs every day. They don't make 40% of them, in fact, when one goes in they all go nuts. I watched about 125 shoot-arounds over a 5 year span, and with all of those players, a few who went to the NBA, many who are still playing for dough, and most who received some all-conference recognition, the guy who made the most was a 6'6" walk-on who NEVER SAW THE FLOOR. He'd make a couple per shoot-around, between 5-10 attempts on average, in an empty building, with only a place in line at pre-game meal or a first choice for post-game pizza on the line.

Would I make 1 of 10 for $20 million? I'd like to think so....but man, who knows. Would I try with two young kids? That is the REAL question.

I've been goofing off in this thread, but that's really what it boils down to for me.

Is the reward of getting $20 million worth the risk of spending 2 years apart from my wife & daughter?

Not for me it isn't.

Maybe because you didn't get any today?:idunno:

Nah, I'm good till Thursday.

Nah, working today. I wish though.

I just meant in general, not necessarily today.

Next time I go to a gym, I'm trying it...

In order to make the pressure you would feel a little more realistic you should have to make them standing in between "Squirrel Master" and "Nasty Nate".

Nah, I'm good till Thursday.

As they say, "pictures or it didn't happen".

Given time, most likely.

I'm confident enough to say nobody on BGP could hit 4-10 half court shots. My good buddy Spindoc is a great athlete, and I wouldn't wager on him to hit 4-10 half court shots.

He's more of a gym rat but I get your point. :lol2:

My biggest question is, would this mean I had a criminal record? Would I risk it for 2 years in a minimum security facility as well as having that hang over me for life and impact me forever? Not even close. But, if I could just chill in a minimum security facility, maybe work on getting another degree and then not have a criminal record? Without a doubt, yes.

But, I also don't have kids currently. Would I miss my family and loved ones? Extremely. But, would the security of 2 mil for myself and them be worth it? No question.

As they say, "pictures or it didn't happen".

You know you left yourself right open here for a tremendouc comeback, but I won't go there. :lol2:
