Appreciate that TP. I know you are just looking for some good banter. But honestly, you aren't going to get any good banter on that topic. There isn't anything anyone can say as it is what it is and there is nothing that can happen to change that whole situation in the next 4 years. Personally, I wish it was different and the Cards and Tigers still could face off each year in the playoffs at some point, but it isn't and there is nothing more to say about it or where the series stands. The Cardinals own bragging rights and there is no point in a Tiger fan trying to comment back.

I look forward to hearing what the Beechies have to say on this. I recall G saying in another thread that this is a pivotal year for Rash. Which I took to mean that now that the Monster from the West has left that nothing less than some titles will be acceptable. With the return of the experienced QB I look for the Tigers to be the favorite if they can have a balanced offense and get decent line play which they should

I agree that this is a very critical year for Rash. BW has had a ton of talent the last 2 years and just have looked avg. they should have definitely gone further in the playoffs the last two years. His play calling has been suspect at best the last couple years in big games. I think anything short of a state title will be a huge disappointment with the talent they have this year.

I agree. Compare Rash's record the past five years (since he won back to back state titles) and he is probably in the top 10 coaches in the state based on record and accomplishment. How many coaches in the state have been to the state semifinals or further in 4 of the past 5 years? So in the past 5 years the Tigers are 14-5 in the playoffs. How does that compare to other teams?

I believe that. Two teams were talented enough to beat Mayfield and win a title - 2011 & 2014. Both fell short vs. Mayfield, especially 2011. The other 3 did not have enough IMO.

I remember people saying the 2011 team was the team that would beat Mayfield. They came very close. I myself would love to see another Hazard vs Beechwood match up.
