In this scrimmage, Beechwood played many players in different places on the line. I think they used this scrimmage the way you would expect - try different players out in different situations and positions and see who can do what. I also think the offense was very vanilla. I expect them to take it up another notch this Friday.

I don't think it was his decision exactly. The story I heard is that when he accepted the UK baseball scholarship as a sophomore, he was told by UK that he would not be allowed to play football his senior year. Someone correct me if that is wrong, but that is what I heard. If true, he will not be playing football this year unless UK allows him to. It is a shame because he would make a big difference on this team. My thoughts about whether Beechwood can win a state title go up dramatically if Combs is playing.

Hope the Combs kids wasn't forced into giving up his senior year of football for UK baseball. Stringer committed to a far better program and their has been no flack from UL about him playing football.
