Maybe I'm from the old school. I wouldn't want Harrell on my team at all if he can't keep his emotions in check.

 

He is a great player, the best player clearly on the team. I just don't agree his attitude can always be excused.

What will happen if his emotions gets the best of hi again and he actually does hurt someone?

If your scenario happens, he will be disciplined however the powers that be see fit. Whether that is the NCAA or the coaching staff.

It is just a personnel preference is all. I don't think negativity toward anyone that likes Harrell, can't blame them at all. Harrell is a great player and will play for a long time at the next level. Just not the type of person I would want on my team.

 

The scenerio I was talking about was really about what happens afterwards. This being the 2nd time in the same season and nothing being done. I am not saying suspend him now. I think what is more important is to possibly get him counseling for anger management. Nothing wrong with that.

With Jones gone, Rozier might step up. Sometimes it seems there weren't enough balls to go around. Will miss his defense, though. For whatever reason(s), I just never thought this team had good chemistry. I'd love to see Snider and Mahmoud get more time. Pitino has had his hands full with this team all season. I think he's done a really good job to date-------but, who does he have to blame except himself for the current roster?

He went after me. I made a post and he went after me.

 

Even in my responses I answered his question again from the post he went after me in first.

 

I would hope he wouldn't defend Jones but by his initial post where he went after me it sure sounded like he was defending him.

 

He went after you for posting things that were not fact. You said in your initial post that Jones was also suspended for the game yesterday and then two minutes into the game they changed their mind. Pitino said the day before the game he was back on the team. That initial post is what led to it.

They haven't released the reasoning yet.

 

What difference does it make anyway? Apparently it was bad enough for him to be dismissed.

Yes that is exactly what I was doing, and that was making a general statement on how I felt. It is not my fault that you for some weird reason thought I directed it to Duece and was attacking him.

 

Just say that you hate UL and can't have a rational discussion about any UL related topics. It's much easier that way. I'm that way with UNC. It's okay to admit it. I promise. :thumb:

I wasn't bothered by it. I did think it looked bad that he was suspended a day before a game, then allowed to play in the game and then dismissed from the team the next day. Just looked bad.

I don't hate UL. The only team I truly hate is Duke.

 

For someone asking if I have read someone else's posts, you clearly haven't read mine. I have already posted numerous times in this thread my thoughts on Lousiville Basketball program. Now sir, if it is alright with you I would rather move on to the subject at hand. It is clear Duece and I have clearly acknowledged eachothers opinions in this matter and have moved on. I would like for you to do the same.

 

They are separate issues from what I understand. As GT just posted, I've heard the reason for dismissal is a domestic violence situation.

 

 

If that's the case, he should be gone, its still odd though. Was he arrested? He obviously hasn't been convicted of anything at this point, which is what makes the dismissal odd. I'm not trying to defend him, but its not normal these days to dismiss a player from a team until they have had their day in court. Like it or not, that's just the way it goes these days.

 

I'm surprised there isnt any info available yet, if there was a domestic situation in which he was arrested, you would think it would have came out by now. If he wasn't arrested, its surprising that it would be the issue to cause his dismissal.

Was Jones dismissed by Pitino or by the university? Big difference.
