If I have a kid he wouldn't be going to UL and playing for Pitino, obviously Pitino has no control, not a role model, past few years and the problems he has had and kids who have been kicked off. It's all fallen apart since the Championship it seems.

You are a UL fan and will defend anything they do so there is no reason to even show everything done just this year alone with the program because you will never see anything wrong with anything anyone associated with the program ever does.

And the color of your glasses appears to be muddy. Deuce hasn't taken up for UL's handling of Jones. He's defended UL being a proud program. I'm really not sure why you are even going after Deuce when if you would actually read his posts you'll see the truth.

I was shocked to see this thread as he played so well yesterday. Some kids think they are bigger than the program or so selfish in doing their own thing that they never stop to realize how much this effects the team, coaches and those that are really trying to help them.

I didn't think I knew more than you about what is happening with the program but when you acted as if this is the first incident with Jones or yesterday was the first on court incident with Harrell this season I began to have my doubts.

 

Now are you saying they weren't a proud program? Because I hate to surprise you but I actually do know a lot about UL and their history. The very first final 4 I ever went to was probably before you were born. I was at the NCAA championship game when Louisville beat Duke in 1986. I was and always have been a huge fan of Denny Crum. I am a UK fan but have also been a UL fan in the past and have respected what they have done and even rooted them on in 2013 when they won it all

 

So I hope you know more than me on what goes on with the program but do me a favor and don't take it for granted that I don't cringe a little when I see a program that looks to be out of control right now. Pitino I believe needs to go. It looks to me that he has lost the lockerroom and the inmates are running the asylum.

If you put all the what if's and arguments aside, I believe most of us can agree that this UL team is a mess right now. It reminds me of the Kentucky team nicknamed "team turmoil."

 

I don't claim to know what the problem is, but I imagine there is more than one problem. They don't shoot well, yet they don't pound the ball inside like they need to, they are happy taking threes and jumpshots, which they don't shoot well. They do play excellent defense, which can win them games. However it would win them more games if they pounded the ball inside and took higher percentage shots. But they haven't done that in most games this season.

 

So what is wrong? I honestly have no idea, but I don't believe it all falls on Chris Jones. In my opinion, there must be other problems, otherwise why even play Jones? Jones has caught a lot of flac on here throughout the year, I thought he was hurting them myself. But as the season has progressed, they miss him when he's not in the game, he has carried them in several games.

 

So to the UL fans, what is the real problem? Is it Chris Jones, will they get better by addition by subtraction? Or are there other problems that could cause them to self implode, ala team turmoil?

Where did I say anything that could even remotely suggest that I don't think UL has a proud program? My point this entire time has been that you are implying that based on FOUR "incidents," the UL program has been made into a joke. That's what I'm talking about when I said hyperbole. Chris Jones apparently wasn't doing what he was supposed to be doing, so he was suspended. I'm assuming he had things he had to take care of to get back and he fulfilled those. He did something else, and he got kicked off the team. How is that making a joke of a program?

 

Harrell wears his emotions on his sleeve, almost to a fault at times. He was at the bottom of a pile, getting punched, pulled and slapped at. He got up and let the emotions get the best of him and over-reacted. Once again, his punishment was warranted. Throwing the ball off the guys face was nothing more than a dumb hustle play. What you anti-UL folks don't realize is that after the game Harrell and Jekiri from Miami hugged it out and made amends. Again, how does that make a joke of a program?

You are absolutely correct that things are a mess right now. No doubt about it. I do, however, think Chris Jones is a big part of the problem. I've thought that for a while. He's a score-first PG, very selfish, IMO. Bad attitude, pouts too much, flops too much, all that negative stuff that isn't exemplary of a good point guard.

 

With or without Jones, UL has struggled this year on offense, that's no secret. Jones is a good player, so to say they will be better off without his play (when it's good) is silly. However, if he has as bad of an attitude as I'm lead to believe, Louisville doesn't need him. Play Snider and let him develop.

Actually it was more than just those 4 incidents. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Jones the 3rd player to be dismissed?

 

What I was saying was Jones and Harrell are basically the nail in the coffin. UL was a proud program and now they have become more of a shell of their former glory days. Wouldn't you agree with that?

 

Harrell and Jones actions are just a reflection of the program as a whole.

 

I will reiterate, I think Pitino needs to go. I think Pitino jumped the shark in the coat room of a restaraunt and it's been downhill ever since.

 

Last thing. Harrell wears his emotions on his sleeve, is that an excuse? I don't care if he wears his emotions on his sleeve. He needs anger management counseling. So are we to brush it under the rug because he "Hugged it out" after the game?

 

Harrell is a punk. Should have been thrown out of the game. Should be suspended. Defend him all you want, but what you are saying in some of your post about why Jones should be gone are the same things you defend Harrell with. Maybe it is only because Jones is dismissed from the team today that you are now saying he should have been gone already, but what you say about his bad attitude is the same problem Harrell has also. So why don't you call for his dismissal? Answer that for me please.
