I can do it, but it's been several years.

Years ago the ability to drive a stick came in handy when I rented a car in Belgium. Did not need an international driver license but all they rented was manuals - and this was Hertz. Not sure if its same way over there now.

I drive a six speed. Only time I hate driving a stick is in traffic jams.

Yes, and actually prefer it. But the old knees have a different mindset, so, automatic it is.

I can, my wife can but none of my kids can. My oldest tried before I had to pull her out to save our transmission.

I could if I had to but It wouldn't be pretty.

I don't see why I would ever get one. Way too hard to read BGP and drive as it is...

My first 3 vehicles were all stick. My last 2 have been automatic. I miss it sometimes...but probably will never have another one.

Never had a manual car to even try on...but I'm assuming I could figure it out if I can drive a tractor or a quad.

Like a BOSS!!

I learned to drive on my dad's 67 GMC with 3 on the tree, and my first vehicle was an old F-100 pickup with the same. I really love standard shift driving in the country, nothing beats it. Like others have said, in the city, nothing is worse. I had several standard vehicles, but nothing in many years.

Yes, I know how to drive a stick - very well, I might add!

Purchasing a vehicle with a manual transmission is like buying a house without air condition.

Quaint, but why?

Absolutely! Have had my CDL license since 98 and delivered Budweiser beer for 10 years in NKY!

I've never driven one before.

Can you even reach the pedals?

I've never driven one before.
I was at least 10 or 12 before I drove one...so don't feel bad, you still have a few more years.

Looks like Short Round from Temple of Doom.
