To me, Stanley is another kid that doesn't get much love. The kid can flat play and he isn't one dimensional... he does whatever his team needs him to do to win. He told me before the year started that Junior Stockwell would go off, and he was right. Great foresight.

 

This said... anyone have stats on Weyer? Or, Schuh? 2 guys that I think we throw into the top 10 all "willy-nilly", but don't do much analysis on. Are they top 10, skill-wise, over some of the others mentioned (Snapp, Theobald, Avery, McClendon, Schreck, Rabe, etc.), or do we look at height, athleticism, and potential over current skill.

1. Stanley: as the self-proclaimed president of his fan club I'm 100% with you on his game. You have to eyeball him a few times to see ALL of the things he does . Anything he doesn't do well (mainly his outside J) is offset by EVERYTHING else.

 

2. Bo: Before this season started I was iffy on him being a legit top 10 player. Silly fouls. So-so offensive game. However, he obviously put in work over the summer as he has turned into one of the better offense/defense players in the 9th. Smarter about his shot selection. Shoots the 3 well especially from the wing. Blocks shots. Finishes well. He has turned into a legit player.

I have always been a fan of Stanley. Boone does not have as many posters on BGP as other teams, so he is not mentioned as often.

Tell me another 6'6" or taller player in the region that is averaging 60% from the floor and almost 45% from 3 Pt range? There may be only a few in the state that can claim stats like that for a big man.

Thanks for stats , was only curious . Nice copmparision. Any other stats for other players mentioned or almost mentioned to clean up who is 9th Top Ten? It was nice back in the day when the stats were in the paper. Old timer!

I was making a general statement that there are not that many. I knew Drew had the field goal percentage but did not realize he was 50% from 3. I stand corrected that 2 players from the same team hold those stats. Maybe that and Pangallo running the point is why NCC is one of the best teams in the state.

Since I had NCC stats open I'll answer this for you.

McDonald has taken 261 shots in 28 games. (Weyer 252 Pangallo 220)

Newport has played 27 games.

Please note Mr. Mcdonald also plays far less minutes than Snapp since they average a 27 point margin of victory and coach Dawn will sub liberally at the end of the game.
