You got to put Avery in there. Dixe may have just beat CCH without one top ten player.

I like Cooper. He has come a long way and is a great kid off the court (one of the top kids in his class at CCH) but I think most coaches would agree Cooper isn't a top 10 player over Ethan.

Snapp is a nice player, but most of all he's dangerous, thats why he should be in the top 10!

Not sure about Rabe, but I think he's also got some opportunities.

 

Rabe committed this week to play basketball at the next level with Mount St Joe.

 

Also, through the Scott game, both Rabe and Schreck are averaging exactly 11.4 points per game each. Very good balanced scoring.

 

From what I've heard, Rabe is just now feeling close to 100% on the ankle he sprained during the St Henry game earlier this year.

Snapp is a nice player, but most of all he's dangerous, thats why he should be in the top 10!

 

What doesn't get mentioned on here by those who bash him or think he's just "a nice player" is the fact that he sees double teams and is face guarded EVERY night out. They simply talk about shot selection and ignore the fact that he's basically playing with a quarterback (Price), fullback (Joseph), and undersize center (6'2 Covington) and is forced to take shots like that for Newport to score. And that's not a knock on Newport. Snapp gets everything out of those kids and they play hard.

 

The only team that I've seen defend him straight up this year was Holmes with McClendon, and Holmes switched on him throughout the game to avoid foul trouble because of how much Ethan draws contact and gets to the line.

All of those coaches have kept regular contact with him and the recruiting process has been beyond the ":camp invites" that some use to say they are getting D1 interest.

I was talking about the games I've personally seen Newport. But appreciate your input on the topic.

 

Agree that Snapp also handles the ball extremely well. He can play the 1 or 2 with success.

 

The thing that separates Snapp from most other guards in this region is his ability to consistently score at all three levels with consistency. His numbers (%) are down this year but judging him off his high school season isn't a great indication to how good he truly is. Put talent around him where teams have to defend him one on one every possession and he is extremely tough to handle.
