So, when you look at complete player and overall skills.... you think that Cooper T is better than Austin Schreck?

 

I have to hear this explanation. Break it down, please.

 

 

Slightly. I'd like to see Schreck be more aggressive. Really nice 3 yr run for him. Really nice overall game. My only complaint is aggressiveness/fire.

 

I would take him on my team when building one because I can plug him into a lot of roles.

 

Top 10 is not about "team" though.

I don't think they're so different as to not be able to be compared.

 

Top 10. I think that he is as complete a player as there is in the region. Just because he isn't flashy, or score 20+/game, I think people tend to ignore his basketball abilities.

 

I do agree with you on aggression. Sometimes he could potentially take more risks, but if you watch him play, I think his "calm" is what allows him to be so effective. However, don't mistake that for a lack of desire.

To your point, do you not think that Cooper T is a product of his team? Put him in Snapp's spot (since you compared them earlier), can he carry a Newport any better, or more efficiently than Ethan?

All fair points. As I said if I'm building a team he's on it due to his versatility. I'd compare him to Brendan Stanley in all-around game.

 

I'm always down for analysis so you won't bore me.

 

(Note: Like you stats do nothing for me so his PPG never factors into anything for me)

If that is the case, then I think that you have some players on this list because of how their coach and team positions them. Players whose coaches run the offense through them, giving them more opportunities for better stats, players whose teammates pass into them so they can score, players who would maybe not be such standouts if on other teams.

Haven't I already stated my reasons in this thread? Not much more I can add.

 

 

 

I'm not bashing his teammates. I've told Coach Snapp the same thing before and I have joked with the players about it as well.

 

 

 

 

I don't have a dog in the fight, but just because you said the same thing to their coach doesn't mean it still wasn't bashing them. Especially after saying Clyde was bashing players when he didn't come close to saying what you said about the players.

 

Again, I have no dog in the fight, but bashing is bashing anyway you look at it.

 

For me, S. McNeil is my favorite player to watch. Just looking at his age, the sky is the limit for that kid.

To me, Stanley is another kid that doesn't get much love. The kid can flat play and he isn't one dimensional... he does whatever his team needs him to do to win. He told me before the year started that Junior Stockwell would go off, and he was right. Great foresight.

 

This said... anyone have stats on Weyer? Or, Schuh? 2 guys that I think we throw into the top 10 all "willy-nilly", but don't do much analysis on. Are they top 10, skill-wise, over some of the others mentioned (Snapp, Theobald, Avery, McClendon, Schreck, Rabe, etc.), or do we look at height, athleticism, and potential over current skill.
