KU would become national Runnerup that year.
February 1, 201511 yr I love that Pitino continues to wear that white suit. He absolutely hates it but does it for the fans once a year during the white-out. Can't believe Louisville managed to stage that comeback; really impressed with how they handled the second half.

UK won the following year 83-66 I think. Series ended at that time.Today was Pitino's 1st win over UNC in his career. Thank you Roy.
February 1, 201511 yr First win for Rick Pitino against UNC in his career... The 1995 Elite 8 loss by Kentucky to North Carolina was a loss that stung for awhile (although lessened by a title the next season). Hard to believe Pitino had never beat the Heels.
