Mesoraco gets a four-year, $28MM deal from Reds. No options. Can reach $30MM with escalators.

If he continues to progress, that's going to be a bargain the next couple seasons.

Now that's a solid deal.

For as bad as the Reds were with the Votto deal. They do know how to avoid arbitration with very good deals, Bruce, Cueto, and now Mesoraco.

Fantastic contract for the Reds. He doesn't need to progress any for that to be a good deal. Hell, he can regress a little from 2014 and they will still be getting a steal.

Good deal! I hope he plays like the first half of year and not the second.

Great deal a bargain if he keeps improving. He could become a Cincy favorite.

Not since Meso decided one thumb per hand is enough.
