I would have to say Anderson at X for now. I don't know enough about others at this time.

I think Farris might have a chance to break some of that guy from Seattle's records ! What's his name Shaun Alexander !!!:p Corey F is a very good back and has 2 years to get better ! So I'll put him in with the BEST in the state !!!:thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Gross?

Gross... another Red Devil legend;) I meant Clark.:thumb:

Beaumont still plays running back for Male doesn't he? I guess since he is an every down player that splits out wide to receiver that we all forget about him as a running back. He is a terror turning the corner on sweeps and is plenty strong to get tough yards between the tackles. With the loss of Anderson at QB, I have heard much talk about the offense changing and Beaumont getting more carries. Don't count him out of the race as best RB.

Kasey Clark of Russell.

This is the first name that came to my mind...

I thought he was gone. It seems like he and Anderson have been playing forever! I agree he is very talented!

Everybody in the district wishes he were gone, but no he is there for his senior season. Making big plays on varsity since his freshman year makes it seem like he played for his four years already.

Kasey Clark of Russell.

Considering his stats from last year he has to be in the top 5 state wide.

I'm sure that each area of the state has some names that should be thrown into the discussion, but after the AA Championship game last year, I don't see how anyone could question Clark's inclusion in the top three or four names to be bandied about.

In all honesty, his biggest drawback is the fact that he plays for a coach that has too much class to "run up the score" on weaker opponents, and this translates directly into a very limited number of carries for Clark.

I hope that the people that post on this thread will take the time to check the linescores this season, and notice just how few touches Clark will get - due strictly to the fact that his team will be blowing teams out and McGlone won't embarrass anyone.

This season will be a repeat for Clark - amazing TD totals, extremely high Yards/Carry, and an artificially low number of touches. If he played for a coach that were a jerk, or if he played at a school like Male, St. X, or Trinity (where he would be needed for entire games), this kid would be off the charts.

Here, Here, Ms. Frances

You soooooo astute :thumb:

I'm rather surprised that the knowledgeable football fans in the Louisville area have not mentioned Clark after his great performance in Russell's victory over the presumed unstoppable Owensboro Catholic in the AA final.

(no slight intended towards OC, just that so many people seem to assume OC's victory)

Hopefully it's not a case of "class" warfare or E.KY predjudice ;)

Cheers, Woody Jr

Johnson Central has a couple of good ones returning. 2nd Team All State fullback, Blake Johnson and TB, Shawn Grimm.

I can't really remember Grimm that well (hey, I'm getting old), but that fullback was an absolute LOAD when he played Ashland last year. Johnson can tote the mail.

Grimm didn't get much PT last year because he was behind Blume.
