People always say Manning is the best ever. This thread is about Manning right? Seems like a perfectly legitimate comment to make.

 

Don't really care what you think is sad.

If his injuries are things he can rehab or that will improve with time off, he will be back next season. If he knows that he has to play the game like a glorified Chad Pennington as he did for the last 9 games or so, I think he walks.

1. Yes

2. No: Plays next year with Broncos

3. No: Plays next year with a different team.

 

So essentially all choices are really saying "Yes" he'll play next season.

 

I want to click on the "NO" button that would suggest that he will not be playing at all, but it hasn't been provided in the poll.

He's done. Almost felt sorry for him today, his arm is shot. Anything over 5 yards was a duck.

 

12-14 in the postseason, 1 super bowl ring and he's supposed to be the GOAT? Sorry, not buying it. I'll go with the guy who's 19-8 in the postseason with 3 Super Bowl rings.

 

Brady is not that far from retirement either. Especially if the Pats don't draft well on the OL.

It would be different if someone had said he was the GOAT or better than someone else. If that had been said then fire away, but you had to take your shot when there was no reason or justification for it.

 

Would it make sense to talk about Jordan's greatness in a thread talking about Kobe's future if no one had brought up a comparison between them.

I think he should retire based on his play, but I think he will play 1 or 2 more years.

I'm sorry my posts don't meet your requirements and standards.

I see him trying to come back. He will go through off season training and team workouts to see if his arm comes back after some rest. If the arm isn't any better than what we saw today, then he will retire. Decision will need to be made before the NFL draft out of courtesy for the Broncos.

People tend to forget about Peyton's neck, I just worry about a blind side hit or something doing something where he leaves the field on a stretcher and that would be devastating to me and his many fans. I hope he makes the decision to retire, this year and last were his windows of opportunity. I just think he doesn't need to push it.

Up until the St. Louis game Manning was playing at an incredibly high level. As in very little drop off from last year's MVP season. You could say he was the MVP of this year prior to STL. He got rocked that game and he never looked the same. He didn't look like this all season like everyone is portraying.

I think he stays, but his arm has to be better. Something is wrong, but it may not be long term, who knows. Maybe rest will get it back to satisfactory strength. The last 5 or 6 games teams have played the slants and crosses and dare him to beat them deep. He hasn't.

His production sucked after week 12. I say he's done, his demise was crazy fast.
