BluegrassPreps.com Boys Rankings (1-5-15)

And lost to the 4th best team in the 9th region. ..moving along.

Not taking anything away from what Dixie Heights did, but the final score was 40-34. GRC shot just over 20% in that away game. Hard to swallow the fact that a team gives up only 40 points and still loses. GRC has put that game behind them now.

Worse loss of the year was this 6 point loss.

Boyle, with that backcourt, will be highly ranked come late February.

This team has been fun to watch. A lot of fun. These next two months are going to be a blast.

My point is...if they cant beat the 4th best team in the 9th region, what makes you think they can beat the teams listed in this poll? Get a signature win then you'll have an argument. Records can be deceiving....

I'm not familiar with GRC's region, but have watched GRC several times over the last couple of years and have grown to like them (except when they play my team :)... so, who are the favorites in their region?

Scott High of Kenton County is in the 10th region,I thought you were a more rounded fan,,should have known better,,LOL

Yes, a 9-3 record for Clark County is very deceiving since the 3 losses were by a combined 10 points.

Very tough district game tomorrow vs. Paris (9-2). I am looking forward to it.

You got me Danny. I should have phrased my question better. I did not realize which region GRC was in... never paid much attention to the 10th.

I could see GRC winning it.

We will go back and forth until they play, but I am more than convinced that Dixie is better than Holmes :)

I know Christian County is where they are at over their defeat of Doss alone, great win for them. I think they have surprised some teams lately, but I still think they are the 3rd best team in the 2nd region. Henderson is where they need to be and so is Hoptown. Hoptown has the most to gain as they have a monster schedule coming. 7 of their games are against teams on this list. (Henderson, Trinity, Knott Co., Taylor Co., Owensboro, & Christian twice). They could either fall out of the top 20 or soar to the top 5....time will tell.

Records are very deceiving. There is a very good reason why 2nd region teams Webster County (12-1) and Crittenden County (9-1) are not even close to making the top 20.

Now Webster can make a statement tomorrow at Christian County and then Henderson twice. If they win 2 of those games, then they would deserve it, until then, it just doesn't make any sense to rank teams according to their record.

Was Christian County missing players when they played Owensboro?? The Devils really put it on them.

No Bryan Station or Henry Clay?

No Bryan Station or Henry Clay?

I'd say Bryan Station may have been close to being ranked until they lost to Elizabethtown.

Henry Clay started the season well but haven't had any real good wins since they opened the season with the win against Holmes.

Overall the 11th has been crazy this year. I could see 5 teams from the 11th being ranked at the end of the year just as easy as I could see 0 teams from the 11th being ranked by the end of the year.

It looks really good. I'm not sold on Holmes as top 20 (sorry Walter), but everything else is at the very least reasonable.

I would also drop Southwestern a little bit. I think they are closer to 25 than 15, but not bad.

Where and when is the game between Knott Central and Hopkinsville? That game should tell a lot about both these teams. Knott is very good. Their only weakness could be they don't have a very deep bench. I would imagine that Hoptown would have the advantage in depth. But if Knott can stay out of foul trouble they are as seasoned and dangerous team as there is in the state.

Very interesting matchup.
