This. I've never met a single person who likes UK basketball and OSU football. Not a one.

Not in person, but you know at least 2 on here.

Growing up in NKY I also didn't know anyone who rooted for UK and OSU. A UK basketball and ND football fan is very common .

 

But yes OSU has a very large and crazy fan base. But I've lived in Detroit and Cleveland. There isn't a more annoying fan base in the country than Michigan.

 

I don't like either OSU or Michigan but if we are voting on more annoying fan base Michigan and their " Michigan man" persona takes the cake.

I think it's accurate. And to a certain extent any large and historically successful team comes with a fan base with a substantial number of delusional fanatics, at least in my experience. We are inundated by the local fan bases, which distorts our perceptions too.

 

But I have one caveat: There are a goodly number of passionate, yet even-keeled and respectable UK fans on this board. I can't name one in the OSU camp.

Can we all agree that Highlands fans are worse than any sports fan base on any level? :sssh::wave::sneaky:

I believe someone on here mentioned that in Eastern KY, particularily in the northern section, you will find several OSU FB fans and UK BB fans. To our EKY posters, is that correct?

My point is NOT to limit it to these two fan bases. I will say, though, that very few colleges have fan bases like these two.

I spent a few years in SC and you have never met Clemson or SC fans. Especially when they are about to play each other.

I honestly don't know a single person who is fan of both. It would make for an interesting poll on here. I know many people who are ND football and UK basketball fans though but that's more a catholic thing.

I actually am a fan of both. Grew up a OSU football fan and UK bball fan and still am.

 

i guess that makes me the most annoying person alive.
