January 3, 201511 yr I tell people all the time that if you want to see another fan base that acts like the UK basketball fan base all you have to do is go north to Columbus. They're exactly the same. They think announcers are against them. They think they're undervalued. They are both very thin-skinned. They are both extremely obnoxious when they win. Hide the childre if they win a game the experts didn't think they would win. So when you read OSU fans on here or any other boards realize you're reading a UK basketball fan's rants as well. SO .....your upset that OSU beat Alabama as well, uh ? :lol2:
January 3, 201511 yr I put this on Twitter after the game on Thursday, but I feel like today too many fans are more excited to talk trash to their haters after a big game than to celebrate their team's success.

January 3, 201511 yr Fact is, just about any fan base has these tendencies. "fan" is an abbreviation of fanatic. There are a good number of fans from any school that are passionate about their team / teams,, just check any teams message boards. One thing, for me anyway, since the example given was UK bb and OSU fb ....there are haters of both on the same boards. "Oil and Water" don't mix too well. I basically enjoy the back and forth banter. I fully admit that I used to get upset when new to this board but got to know people, how they posted and who was tying to have fun or get personal. Only the latter of the two bothers me some and I have fun with the rest of it, doesn't bother me. Should it really bother someone then don't read or post on the particular thread anymore......simple. :idunno:.

I have good friends, even some family members that of someone that didn't know either then they would think that we hated one another, were about to come to fist flying. Some on here must believe that I am really messed up, I love U.K. basketball as well as OSU football .....I am really insane ! :lol2:

January 4, 201511 yr I like to think that I am not an overly obnoxious Highlands / UK fan. I root for other teams to do well, congratulate and wish my friends well when their teams are playing / winning. I try to keep my dislike of other teams to myself except for the occasional Duke stinks comment but come on, that's to be expected in a rivalry!
