The team that would have been on the outside would have been Ohio State and I still think Florida State probably would have jumped them in that final poll. My guess is TCU would have played Bama, but who knows. I agree with that. Florida St. absolutely deserved to be in the playoff.
January 2, 201511 yr Florida State has done more to themselves in this half than Oregon has. With the turnovers yes, but Oregon has dominated the Noles with their offense. The turnovers don't have anything to do with that.
January 2, 201511 yr I am not a big Jameis fan, but I loved how he went to his wr that just lost the fumble, and consoled him and patting on the head letting him know he has his back. Says a lot about him as a leader!
January 2, 201511 yr Author I agree with that. Florida St. absolutely deserved to be in the playoff. People will absolutely say now they didn't deserve to be, but if you believe nothing else, believe that the precedent of leaving an unbeaten team from one of the major conferences on the outside is a terrible, terrible precedent to set year one. Even without that, I of course believe they belonged. They proved they could stand toe to toe for more than half of this game. But momentum will destroy you and if you don't respond properly against a team like this, you'll get embarrassed. FSU absolutely could still be showing better than this but have started making unforced errors on top of the ones Oregon forced. And Oregon is a very good team and punished them. SEVERELY.
