In the Ducks losses the last few years they've started slow. When they get ahead and get comfortable the games over. They capitalize on mistakes and mental fatigue of the opponent in ways that are amazing. FSU really disappointed me with their character. Front runners. Once this game started to get out of hand they quit.
January 2, 201511 yr When it is all said and done, it is still about turnovers. My rule of thumb is every turnover is worth 7 points. In competitive games, whoever wins the turnover battle wins the game 80% of the time. The spread in the score is usually close to the spread in turnovers x 7.

January 2, 201511 yr Author I am distressingly back in the mid-90s in my search for when was the last time FSU was beaten this badly if the margin holds.... and I'm still having to go further back. Certainly the 1996 Florida game in the Sugar Bowl was the last time things went this wrong for them on the big stage.

I said it then - Alabama is a traditional team. They line up and try to beat you with the age old tactics. FSU didn't respond well to tempo last year against Auburn and this has been that on mega steroids. Maybe Bama would have been so dominant as to simply roll over them too, we'll never know. But I always, ALWAYS, like that matchup better. The only advantage FSU had in playing Oregon is that if you are going to play them, you want the long prep time.

January 2, 201511 yr Well, your never as good as you think you are and vice versa your never as bad as you think you are. Still one thing is for certain "TURNOVERS" are undefeated.
