If he picks Alabama is it likely he gets redshirted? Do they normally redshirt incoming freshmen unless they prove themselves worthy of immediate playing time? You never seem to hear the words "true freshman" when Alabama is playing.

And by the way, I count eight RB's on the official roster. Seven if Yelding leaves. And six who are freshmen or sophomores.

That's what I'm saying. I really don't think the NFL has any bearing on where he goes. If you can play, you can play and scouts will find you. Look at Joique Bell and Danny Woodhead. The only way I can think the NFL has any bearing on his decision is if he'd rather play in the SEC than B1G and play against better competition.

I can't believe you are even comparing Randall Cobb to Harris or any of the Alabama RB ' S that I named. It's obvious you can get drafted out of any college but I was saying if Harris wants to make it to the NFL Alabama makes the most sense. Their coaching, play calling, and history since Saban is too good to pass up for a quality running back. Plus I think being around all that talent on both sides of the ball will prepare him and make him better.

While this is all true and the Bama defensive players called Zeke.. Chubb with sprinters speed, I'd be shocked if Harris goes to OSU.

No way he starts as a true freshman next year at UK IMO if he picks UK. Its a whole new world playing college football than high school. He is going to be a very good back. However he would have to learn the playbook, blitz pick up protection and all that. They do have other talented backs, who will be far ahead of him mentally at this point. He will probably be in the rotation, but no way he starts IMO.

I know this. Damien has made a decision but he has not told a sole (other then Mom I am sure), and I don't blame him there. He wants the coaches at said school to be the first to know, outside of Mom of course. Even those of us close to him don't know his decision fully... just guessing.
