41-39 CovCath after 3, but you are correct in theory. Great point about forcing shots, you're spot on. Felt like they allowed themselves to get sped up and then they fed into that with (bad) quick shots.

Dre came out incredibly aggressive (and effective). After his 6 point spurt to start the game, I can only remember one attacking move to the rim. Settled for 3's from there on out.

I'm a huge Wilson fan, that guy needs more touches on the low block. I'm sure I wasn't the only one that shook my head when he took an ill-advised 3 in the first half. I like how CovCath defended him with Romes, don't like how they defended him with Hepp, but the Camels never took advantage of the latter.

I was happy when they brought Hepp in because they desperately needed to get a body in there at that point. I was fairly content with what he brought, and I was eager to see him get more experience in a tough game like that because down the road they're sure going to need what he can bring.

I think we have yet to see what he's ultimately capable of, and I'm liking the possibilities. Hopefully I'm not just dreaming. With the Colonels various options, adding some effective muscle in there is something they just have to have when facing the big boys. He's certainly going to be needed big time when the NewCath game rolls around, and if they stand a chance of defending their state title.

If Wilson did not get enough touches that is on the coach unless CCH guards killed Camels perimeter players with pressure.

Some credit goes to CovCath guards making it hard, some was the Camel guards disinterest / inability to feed the post when Hepp was on his back in a deep position.

Wilson works hard down there, I'm a fan.

Was also surprised when the unsername was available!

Well...:D

2 turning points in the game... Taking CVH off Jackson added to CCH defense, not because Theobald played great D on Jackson (we saw him score with ease on CVH who is their best defender IMO), but because it allowed the team to play as a unit on D. As soon as CVH came off Jackson the help lanes on D were filled and it stopped the easy drives to the basket that CC was getting early. Secondly, the pressure killed CC in the 2nd half. They had 3 or 4 turnovers in a row. Jackson was too passive in the 2nd half also. His game starts off the drive, but he can score from all 3 levels. Has to get going off the bounce, which is what he did in the first half. Fouling on the reach from 40ft didn't help him either.

IMO, I think they tried to get Wilson the ball to much, spent a lot of time working the ball around the floor, passing and cutting, and reversing the post to try and get him the ball, wasn't too effective. CCH played good D, as Romes was even fronting him at times. I thought I'd see more pick n roll, but very little.

Schuh's alley oop was awesome! Theobald played well, as did flood. CVH has a quicker first step than I thought and he is a really good leader. Romes does the dirty work. It all comes back to coaching... Not to knock anyone, but CCH isn't the most gifted team talent wise, but they all play so hard and so sound. Kudos to the kids and the coach!

Congratulations to the Colonels on the W. They played well. Camels dealing with foul trouble much of the game. To me, they looked drained by the forth quarter. Chalk it, move on.

Well...:D

ahhh I knew it was too good to be true

:thumb: He's that kid you want on your team. I'm a fan.

Forgot to mention my 3 point prediction was solely based on 3 quarters so I won... haha. jk

Impressive win by the Colonels... looking for highlight film on that dunk. .

Well...:D

It looks like one of you paid attention in class and the other one focused more on kilts and togas. :)

Good point NKyBfast on defense switch creating better help side defense. I didn't see it as WHO was guarding Dre; it was more the technique that changed. CVH started the game face guarding, a method he's had success with (Bolden). Dre's slashing early on beat that. was going north/south, whereas Bolden seems to have a more perimeter (east/west) game.

Awesome to see how much stronger / confident Theobald has gotten.

Kudos to Aiden R, taking over the OT in JV game.

Love the screen name!

I gave them the Black Cat by going to the game.

Had I stayed home, checked the final score on BGP, I'm sure the Camels would have won by 20.

Paris beat LexChristian..........Augusta Beat Harrison County..............Harrison County played with Holmes.

I'm pretty sure that had I not made the trip to Park Hills via Walts Hitching Post (yum), Campbell COunty would have covered my spread.

There might also have been a possibility that I was being facetious.

We all know the real reason you made the trip to the hill last night !
