Yep why listen to a Cuban-American about relations with Cuba. Arguably the two most powerful Americans of Cuban dissent on opposite of aisle oppose this move. I'm not a huge fan of either but if there is any subject I would think they have some inside knowledge I'm guessing this would be it.

 

There is no argument how this benefits our country of any significance . I see how it benefits Cuba. But America should never reward communism.

I'm no fan of China. But because we allow one wrong we should allow two. I'm sorry not buying that logic.

But like I said where is the benefit for the United States. I hate our relations with China but at least I get the economic value. Cuba ? This was a move by a far left Liberal. This has been the erotic dream of Liberal proffesors across this country for decades. We spit in the face of all the people who fled that evil regime and became loyal Americans.

The Florida contingent in Congress reflects the largest Cuban communities in the US. I don't believe Rubio and Co. are in any danger of losing their seats and this could very well make Florida solid red in 2016.

How will it look bad when the Cuban American community would agree with them.

 

Why are they against Obama's decision ? O I don't know Castro is an evil leader who tortured and killed their families . Forcing people to escape via raft for any chance of a normal life.

 

What did Raul Castro do to deserve this gesture ? It still hasn't been answered by any single person in favor. He is still a brutal dictator and committing human rights violations daily.

 

Cuba was running out of cash and his regime was bleeding money. So we save them , at one of their most vulnerabe times in history.

Cuban-Americans have been solidly GOP for years. Not so with other Florida residents whose roots are elsewhere in the Caribbean. After all these years, many Cuban-Americans no doubt would welcome the opportunity to freely travel to the island to reconnect with relatives.

But like I said where is the benefit for the United States. I hate our relations with China but at least I get the economic value. Cuba ?

If Wynn, Hilton, and a few others are permitted to go over there and open some resort casinos on those beautiful Cuban beaches and start making some serious cash, are we fine with it then? I think I stated I'm not for the China relations but I understand them. China is a global power, Cuba is not they offer nothing to us. I'd be fine with opening up talks the day the Castro family stepped down from power or any of the major allies.

 

It's almost hysterical how so much history is forgotten for some make believe feel good story of giving a brutual dictator a "shot".

 

Again Cuba leaders were out of money, the price of oil dropping had left them with no supporters. This was the time to break their government not help them.
