How did Townsend handle the pressure? Do we see him a top player in the years to come?

He is a sophomore correct?

Best athlete on the floor last night!!! And yes there is not a kid on the team who knows or cares how successful Listerman was at his previous stop!! This job should have went to Timmy Sullivan! IMO And Brolley has transferred to Dixie.

According to a member of the family, Ian has left the Holmes team but no official transfer to another school has occurred yet. This type of unsubstantiated rumor can really hurt a kid, so let's all please be careful.

No intent to harm and not real sure how it's harmful?

If this turns out to be true, IMO it's a big mistake.

Does anyone know if he'd be eligible to play this season wherever he goes? I'm not hip to the rules on such things.

I think that he's a decent player and I'd like to see him get the floor time he deserves.

Any school would be lucky to get him.

If he does end up at Dixie like it's been mentioned, I hope it's not too crowded for him there as well, and if he can get in the mix there that'll only make the Red Colonels more of a force that I believe that they'll undoubtedly prove to be very soon now that everyone is back in action.

How so?

Ian told me himself that Dixie is where he's going. I wish him and yhe family nothing but the best. Great student athlete with high character and extremely smart.

Why? He will have just as good of an education while also getting a chance to excel on the hardwood with a bigger role on what will be a somewhat young team next year.

For those who don't know much about him, he has over a 4.0 gpa while also having a very strong work ethic both on and off the court.

Seems like it was a sudden move. Such a hard time for family to move right before the holidays and school not at the break yet.

Ian lives in the Dixie/Lloyd district.Tuition student at Holmes to be apart of the IB program. ..much like Ryan Fischer when he was at Holmes but lived in the Florence/Burlington area.

So....the question will be. Will he have to sit out a year since he didn't move and has played varsity this year. Eligible second semester next year? Not sure how that works. Sincerely hope for the best for him as he is a nice talent and looks like he has the grades.

He would have to sit for a year.

What makes you so sure that Tim would have even been interested had the job come open? Imo Tim is quite happy where he is.

I don't know exact specifics but a few years ago, Eflin Tyler played in a varsity game at Dixie, transferred to Lloyd, and was eligible two weeks later. You never know with the KHSAA.

I'm simply wishing the best for Ian, regardless, because he really is a good kid.
