Bolden fouled out with 6:35 to go in game. Holmes down by approx 20 points in 2nd quarter.

This may be the weakest Bulldog team in the last 7-8 years. They will have to kick it up a notch the next few weeks.

Is Lloyd better than advertised?

I really haven't heard much talk of them yet this year, and if they're hangin' with a somewhat down year Dawgs team, that's still making me take notice and ask...

What's up with the Juggs this year?

Holmes trailed 19-2 at one point in the 1st qtr. ..outscored Lloyd 63-36 from that point.

Bolden played just 16 minutes...finished with 9 pts. So much for this being a one man show.

McClendon 24 pts, 7 sts

Avery 14 pts

Mullins 13 pts, 9 rbs

Covington 3 pts, 7 rbs

Commodore 2 pts

FG: 23-44 52%

3FG: 1-13 8%

FT: 16-26 62%

Lloyd:

Hamilton 20 pts, 8 rbs

Townsend 14 pts, 5 ast

Molitor/Jouett 6 pts

Wright 3

Gutierrez/Dunn 2 pts

FG: 17-29 59%

3FG: 5-13 38%

Was talking to a coach out at Campbell tonight who played against Lloyd already and he said they're not bad at all.

This may be the first time I can remember James fouling out, give Lloyd credit, they came out on fire, out hustled and out rebounding the dogs, Hamilton a nice player, good to see Markle Mclendon getting his shot back, thought Mullins played very hard the second half along with Avery, this team seems to get down before they start playing hard, good luck to both teams.

Just noticed Avery only played 22 mins with Covington seeing 19 mins and 16 mins for Arnold

Two first qt fouls on Avery, plus Coach pulled all starters for a few minutes after lack luster start.

I was impressed tonight with how well Bulldogs played with Bolden on the bench.

While I wasn't there, I've been trying to tell people all summer and early on how good McClendon and Mullins are together. Mullins was an unknown to most coming in to the season because he didnt play much last year due to a foot injury. Holmes will have a realy good backcourt again next year led by those two and sophomore to be Commodore.

Mullins and McClendon are both top 10 players next year.

Just wondering:

Last year Brolley and Moore both looked to have promising potential. Are we seeing them play much this season, have they improved, and have they been contributing in any significant way?

LB maybe should have one to this one. I'd have been ticked early, though
