Holmes 65 Lloyd 55

Might there be some unrest between Boden and the coaching staff, I referring to the benching at BB.

Don't think so at all.

Serious question. Should there be any second guessing on not opening up the head coaching position ?

Good question.

How did Townsend handle the pressure? Do we see him a top player in the years to come?

He is a sophomore correct?

Grade school coaches don't count. :lol2: couldn't resist.

The Juggs weren't very good last year, what makes them any better this year? :idunno:

I'm pretty sure Lloyd has 2 transfers one from Boone Blake Donovan he is a pretty good point guard.

Go ahead and convince yourself that 1 - 5 LLoyd is "not bad at all" if that's what it takes for you to continue thinking that Holmes belongs in the upper echelon of the Ninth Region.

A coach whose team beat Lloyd said that...not my words. Maybe you should direct your comment toward him instead of me.

I've said the last few games Holmes has a long ways to go and need to get better defensively if they want to seriously compete in the region this year.

Nope.

Listerman warned us before the season started that Holmes would likely struggle to start the season but come February they'd be where they need to be.

Just wondering:

Last year Brolley and Moore both looked to have promising potential. Are we seeing them play much this season, have they improved, and have they been contributing in any significant way?

I figured Brolley would of been in the mix more this year. Seems to have a nice outside shot that they could use.

Quite honestly I think Holmes needs to get better OFFENSIVELY.... Lack shot makers from what it looked like last night. Can be zoned into an offensive funk.

That is a canned message,,every coach has the same song and dance..

Maybe Wheelhouse can confirm, but I've been told Brolley is no longer with Holmes' basketball team and his last day at the school will be Friday....

Zone offense is definitely a concern for them. I'll be surprised if they see m2m defense the rest of the year. It's easy for a team to zone you when you are shooting a terrible percentage from outside.

If this is true, will he be eligible to play this season wherever he goes?

Any idea where he's going?

If he can play, I think he'll make an instant impact.

It was just a little too crowded for him at Holmes to shine.

Is Englemon playing? I thought those juniors that won 8th grade state 3 yrs ago would somehow be making contributions to the team by now yet the only one we hear about is Arnold? How is Moore doing?

Thanks Danny. Have come to expect such positive and uplifting contributions from you. Your knowledge and input is invaluable. :thumb:

Hope everything is ok with him.

He started the jv game against St.Henry (and looked really good) and played about 1 min in the varsity game. I thought he would of been the zone buster.
