Bengals TE Jermaine Gresham has on-air spat with Dave Lapham

Featured Replies

Like I always said, head case...

Honestly, I get why Gresham would be upset. Any one of us would be. My only exception is interrupting a live interview, following a significant 30-0 win over the Cleveland Browns, to air your grievance... especially in a world where players have no issues airing their positions or points of view, without any interruptions from the media "covering each other".

I'm sure this won't be the last we hear about this.

Gresham is a spoiled thin skinned person. Why is he even worrying what is being said about him. I thought the Bengal players don't listen to all that stuff.

Because Gresham is special.

I think he a great blocking tight end but he manages to do stupid things week in and week out...

Maybe im getting soft in my old

age, but I don't care about any of this.

He is good for two or three bone head plays and penalties each game!

So did they go to the tape?

If Eifert is healthy next year, he gone.

He's gone anyway due to Hewitt's development.

What Hewitt is doing has no impact imo on Gresham coming back or not. I think the Bengals like Gresham kind of like how they liked Rey M. When they brought him back. We saw all the bonehead plays but I do think they like the other things he does like blocking. Hewitt has done a great job as the fullback this year. So I do think the Bengals will attempt to keep Gresham because I think they really want to use the two te look with him as Eifert and to keep Hewitt at fullback for his versititly there. However I Dont think he is going to want to sign back here. I think he is looking for a fresh start.

Agree.....

He would of been released mid way through the year IMO. His untimely drops and stupid selfish penalties will be the writing on the wall in the off season.

Hewitt and Eifert next year for sure. NFL teams like team players and not someone that thinks he is the next coming of nothing. Wish they would of cut him 2 years ago but glad they kept him around because we would of been in deep do do if not for Gresham this year for blocking. But he is gone! Gresham needs to take Tator tot with him.....

Yep Gresham is gone... Eifert wouldn't have been drafted so high if the Bengals were planning on keeping Gresham long term... And Hewitt is a better blocker, has better hands and already has a better understanding of the offense than Gresham.

The INT that Dalton threw to the Browns going for Hewitt was 100% on Dalton...just a bad throw.

But I know of at least two plays where Gresham screwed up and to those who don't know football, it made Dalton look bad. One was a INT and one was a missed TD on a wide open play.... In both cases, Gresham stopped running his route.

I think the Bengals will be happy to let him go... Only way he stays is if he gives them a bargain basement contract, and no player or agent will do that.
