December 10, 201411 yr I take two things from this signing. 1. AJG was wrong. Not to often you get to say that in the baseball forum. 2. The Reds are destined for last place in the NL Central this year.

December 10, 201411 yr I understand the Cubs have made some big moves, but lets not get carried away. This was a 73 win team last year and they're still relying on some young talent to come through. The Red Sox had a losing record with Lester last year as did the A's.

You take the pieces they've already added, plus Maddon and you've got a whole new winning attitude. I'm going to go out on a limb right now, and say the Cubs win the NL Central this year.

Your right they have a strong rotation and good nucleus but I still think they will be relying big time on rookies. There isn't a better guy in the game to get the most out of young talent and Theo knows what he is doing but they still have a lot of question marks. I'll be interested if Rizzo can repeat his year. Which Starling Castro will we see? Is Kris Bryant going to be the guy? Will Baez strike out 250 times? I'm nervous about the Cubs, but I'm not ready to buy on them just yet.
